Studio Mesh is a digital design and development studio building products from concept to launch. We work with founders and teams who care deeply about their ideas — and want them to come through clearly in the final product.

Our work spans MVPs, custom websites, and product-led platforms. Rather than relying on templates or one-size-fits-all solutions, we approach each project with a focus on intent, clarity, and craft — designing and building work that’s considered, functional, and purpose-built for the people using it.

who we are

Studio Mesh was formed in response to a pattern we kept seeing: strong ideas losing clarity as they moved from strategy to design to development. Too often, products were shaped by handovers and constraints rather than the original thinking behind them.

We built Studio Mesh to work differently — bringing design, development, and product thinking together so ideas could move from concept to launch without being flattened or compromised along the way. This approach allows us to support early-stage products and bespoke builds with the level of care, alignment, and attention they actually require.

why we formed

We work end-to-end across strategy, design, and development, with the same team involved from early thinking through to build. This reduces handover gaps, keeps context intact, and gives clients confidence that what’s being built still reflects the original idea.

Our process is collaborative and adaptive, shaped around each project rather than forced into a fixed framework. We ask questions early, communicate clearly throughout, and make decisions with both design intent and technical reality in mind — so the final product feels intentional, not improvised.

About the founder.

Colette Smith is the founder and Creative Director of Studio Mesh. Multidisciplinary by training; across photography, front-end development, and visual design. She leads projects from the inside out: concept, strategy, structure, and interface.

She works at the intersection of design and technology. In practice that means she can hold both sides of a project simultaneously - knowing what's technically feasible before it becomes a development problem, and knowing what's creatively right before it gets to build.

She's also unusually good at the bit in between: communicating clearly across clients, designers, and developers. Translating between all three so nothing gets lost, misunderstood, or built wrong. The person who understands the idea at the start is the same person making decisions at the end.
