The Brief
The client approached us to take over development of their SvelteKit Notion widget app at a pivotal point in its growth. The product had evolved through multiple development phases, and with that came the kind of accumulated complexity that's common when a codebase grows quickly without a single consistent hand on it. Getting properly across the codebase, infrastructure, and data — understanding what was working, what wasn't, and why — required a thorough discovery phase before any work could begin. There was no design-first process in place, and a database migration had inadvertently broken the product's affiliate links, quietly stalling organic growth at a critical time.

01 / 03The Solution
We spent the first phase in deep discovery — mapping the codebase, the infrastructure, and the data before touching anything. From there, we stripped the repository back to what was real and working, established a proper branching and review workflow, and restructured the database with full data integrity checks. The broken affiliate integration was diagnosed — a data integrity issue introduced during the database migration — and restored. We reverse-engineered the entire UI into a Figma design system and connected it to Storybook, so that from that point forward every new feature is designed properly before it's built. The result is a stable, clean product environment built with Svelte, properly integrated across Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare, Storybook, and Zapier.
